I have very pleased to announce that my two photos above received Merit Awards in the Visit Oakland 2011 Photo Contest. This is my second year winning so I am very honored. I have been loving Natalie Cole for as long as I can remember. You cannot imagine how overjoyed I was to hear and photograph her in concert this weekend. It will be an experience I will treasure always. More photos from this great can be seen here.

Patti Austin – Yoshi’s San Francisco

I have loved Patti Austin for as long as I can remember. It was an honor to photograph her shows. I saw her three times during her run and each show was amazing. You can see more photos from her show here.

Ernestine told her band, “Play like you had the blues last night.” That is exactly what they did.
