Cadillac Eldorado – circa 1976 or 77

Another tribute to one of the great land yachts of our time. You were truly stylin’ back in the day if you drove an Eldorado. I had a “play aunt” when I was growing up in Chicago who got a new Caddy every couple of years. Her last one was a Cadillac Eldorado Biarritz, white on white with leather interior. It was a great car and she kept until it went onto car heaven.

I spotted this beauty near Lake Merritt looking weathered but still fighting the good fight.

I saw this 1968 Cadillac Calais in a nearby shopping center parking lot. I was glad I had my camera with me. It is a beauty.

I was recently driving down Shattuck Avenue near the Berkeley/Oakland border and came across this gem sitting on the street near a body shop. It is either a 1959 or 1960 Cadillac Coupe de Ville. I am sure a car aficionado will provide the answer. There were also a 1972 Oldsmobile Vista Cruiser Wagon and a 1955 Pontiac Star Chief sitting across the street from this classic Caddy. I am glad I stopped.
